iRING is emerging as the leading interoperability and integration solution for global corporations such as Bechtel, CCC, DOW, DuPont, Emerson, Fluor, Hatch, Rosatom, Worley Parsons, and Zachary to improve their core business processes.
iRING enjoys strong association support from Fiatech, POSC Caesar Association, OpenO&M and the iRING User Group; and it has been embraced by leading software vendors, including AVEVA, Bentley, Intergraph, Noumenon, NRX Global, and TechInvestLab.
In this area we will post interoperability success stories and interviews with industry participants who have made a commitment to iRING.
We recently conducted a brief interview with Frank Matthewson, Corporate Engineering and Technology Engineering Manager at Bechtel Corporation, to better understand how Bechtel is using ISO 15926 and iRING.
In 2004 Woodside Energy Ltd. implemented AVEVA NET, AVEVA’ ISO 15926 compliant solution, to better manage new and legacy engineering data. Deloitte was commissioned to conduct a post implementation review of AVEVA NET at Woodside to identify the return on investment (ROI) achieved to date and forecasted through to 2014.
Four benefits were evaluated for the purpose of the ROI analysis:
- Streamlined data handover
- More efficient information searching
- Reduction in training costs
- Reduction in the number of supported applications.
The former two (efficient data searching and data handover) were found to be the most significant benefit at Woodside.
